Castaldi leads ETSU on Day One of More Than Golf Invitational

Bucs tied for sixth as a team in South Carolina

AIKEN, S.C. (March 28, 2025) – East Tennessee State University women's golf began the More Than Golf Invitational with a strong 17-over as a team to end the first round tied for sixth.

Sophomore Brianna Castaldi fired a two-birdie, 1-over round to slot in t-No. 11 in the individual competition. Transfer junior Katie Hall had her best round as a Buc, shooting 2-over to follow Castaldi at No. 13 in the solo standings. Senior Alex Crafton and redshirt sophomore Sydney Harz each shot 7-over to finish the scoring for ETSU in the first round.

Georgia Southern holds the team lead after the first round at 2-over, with Dartmouth close behind at 5-over. Delaware, Illinois State and Kennesaw State round out the top five, while Charleston Southern is tied with ETSU for sixth.

In the individual competition, Mary Grace Dunigan led all seven golfers under par with a stellar 4-under round for the Blue Hens. Illinois State's Morgan Jones is second at 3-under, and there is a five-way tie for third at 1-under.
