MACON, Ga. (March 27, 2025) – The ETSU men's tennis team dropped a close 4-3 decision on the road at Mercer on Thursday afternoon. Thursday's loss to the Bears moves ETSU's record to 8-6 overall and 2-1 in SoCon action.
 
Mercer began Thursday's match by winning all three doubles tilts by scores of 6-3, 6-0 and 6-1. The Bears tallied the first win in singles as well but three straight wins by the Bucs from Carlos Gonzales, Pedro Cressoni and Francisco Lamas put the Bucs in front, 3-2. Suddenly trailing, Mercer responded to take the matches in the No. 1 and 2 flights to notch its first win over the Bucs since 2023.

ETSU will continue its road swing on Saturday when it visits Chattanooga. First serve between the Bucs and Mocs is set for Noon.
