JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 24, 2025) – East Tennessee State University volleyball head coach Lindsey Devine announced the signing of Zeynep Özer to join the rest of the 2025 signing class on Monday.

Özer will join Malia Brinkman, Sophie Davis, Emma MacFerran, Chloe Smith and Raegan Waller, along with early enrollee Bailey Gohlke, to complete the Buccaneers' class.

"Zeynep is an elite defender who plays with a great amount of competitive spirit," Devine said. "She will bring her international experience and maturity to our team."

Özer comes to ETSU from Adana, Türkiye. She graduated from Adana Doga HS and played club volleyball for Adana Buyuksehir Belediyesi (Adana Metropolitan Municipality) Sport Club. She won a trio of regional U18 championships in 2021, 2023 and 2023, and had a pair of runner-up finishes in U17 regional club championships in 2023 and 2024.
