Bucs Finish Sixth at SoCon Indoor Championships

Blake, Shingleton podiums highlight day two

LEXINGTON, Va. (Mar. 1, 2025) - ETSU finished sixth in the 2025 SoCon Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships in Lexington, Virginia, which concluded Saturday afternoon.

Senior Tya Blake won silver in the triple jump with a personal record 12.29m. Freshman Allison Shingleton took home bronze in the pole vault with a personal record 3.65m, and sophomore Tya Nicholson finished fifth in weight throw with a PR 15.41m throw.

Freshman sprinter Micailah Cook snagged fourth in the 200m finals with a season-best time of 24.72. She finished sixth in the 400m finals with a 56.527, three one-thousandths of a second behind Wofford's Tangela Green. In the 800m finals, Meg Lance finished fifth with a PR time of 2:13.47.
