ABOUT THE BUCS
-This is the final game of the regular season, and ETSU is in line for a high seed in the 2025 SoCon Men's Basketball Championship. With a win and a UNCG win over Samford on Saturday, the Buccaneers will be the third seed in the bracket; with a win and a Samford win, the Bucs will be the fourth seed.
-ETSU defeated Mercer 59-58 on Wednesday behind 12 second-half points from
Quimari Peterson, including a three from the top of the key with 55 seconds left to score the game's final points.
-Peterson was named SoCon Player of the Week and Lou Henson National Player of the Week for the week ending February 23rd, 2025. He played all 80 minutes for ETSU, scoring 56 points and collecting 23 rebounds while shooting 56% on three-point field goals. He achieved his second and third career double-doubles with 29 points and 13 rebounds against UNCG on February 19th, followed by 27 points and 10 rebounds at Wofford on February 22nd.

Jaden Seymour scored nine points against Mercer to tie Harley Swift for 11th on ETSU's career scoring list. He trails Zakee Wadood by 15 points and Lester Wilson by 21. His 732 career rebounds rank ninth in school history, and his 106 blocks rank sixth all-time at ETSU. Seymour is one of five Buccaneers with at least 1,000 career points, 700 career rebounds, and 100 career blocked shots, joining Isiah Brown, Greg Dennis, Jerald Fields, and Zakee Wadood.
-Seymour is one of 20 players in Division I men's basketball with a triple-double this season, and one of 12 with a triple-double against a Division I opponent. He scored 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in ETSU's 84-69 rout of VMI on January 1.

Karon Boyd needs three offensive rebounds to become the second player at ETSU since 1986 to collect 90 or more offensive rebounds in multiple seasons, joining Dillion Sneed. Boyd had 95 offensive rebounds last year, the seventh-most in a season at ETSU since 1986, when offensive rebounds were first recorded as a standalone statistic. Boyd is second in the SoCon and 48th in the country in offensive rebounds per game (3.00)

DJ Hughes has peaked at the right time for the Bucs in the post. Thrust into the starting center role over the last five games, Hughes has scored in double figures twice, averaging 6.2 points and 7.6 rebounds in that span and leading ETSU in rebounding in two of the last three games.
-The Bucs have made at least one three-pointer in 1,189 straight games – the third-longest streak in the country. Only UNLV and Duke have longer active streaks.
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS
-The Citadel lost their 20th consecutive game on Wednesday, 85-42 to Furman. They will be the tenth seed in the 2025 SoCon Men's Basketball Championships next week.
-Brody Fox is the third-leading scorer in the SoCon per game (16.7) and is fifth in total points (468).
SERIES HISTORY
-This is the 73rd game between ETSU and The Citadel in men's basketball. The Buccaneers lead the series 52-20.
-The Bucs led the Bulldogs wire-to-wire on January 11 at Freedom Hall, winning 70-52 after leading by as many as 29 points in the second half.
-ETSU has won the last five games against The Citadel and the last four games in Charleston.
