Junior forward
Meghan Downing set the single-season school record for blocks with 54 against Samford, passing the previous mark of 51 held by Serena Clark and Candace Gibson. Downing is now tied for 16th nationally in blocked shots.
The record-setting block came with 50 seconds remaining in the third quarter, and she tallied a pair more in the fourth to move to 101 career rejections, putting her alone in fifth all-time in school history. It's the sixth time this season that Downing has had four or more blocks in a game.
5th year guard
Courtney Moore extended her double-digits scoring streak to 13 straight games, as she led ETSU with 14 points. Moore is the lone player in the SoCon to post double figures in every conference contest.
Mercer is led by Ariana Bennett, who averages 10.5 points per game. Ashlee Locke contributes 8.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game, the latter two of which lead the Bears; and Nahawa Diarra posts 8.5 points and 2.7 assists per game.
The last time the two teams met this season, ETSU dominated at home to the tune of a 70-46 win. 11 Buccaneers scored in the game, led by Moore with 14, senior guard
Braylyn Milton with 13 and redshirt junior guard
Paige Lyons with ten. The Bucs trail in the all-time series 23-27.
