JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Dec. 1, 2025) – A good day turned into a good week for
Brian Taylor II.
The senior guard from St. Louis was named SoCon Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending November 30, as announced by the league office on Monday. Taylor is the first weekly award winner for ETSU this season.
He collected the fourth triple-double in ETSU history on Saturday in an 80-57 win over Central Arkansas. He scored 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, posting career-highs in the latter two categories. He joins Tim Smith, Courtney Pigram, and
Jaden Seymour in the rare statistical territory.
In addition to being a career-high, Taylor's 10 assists were also fourth-most by any player in the country over the award period despite ETSU playing only one game when many teams played two or more in multi-team events.
Taylor is the only Buccaneer to score in double figures in all seven games so far in 2025-26.
ETSU visits Dayton tomorrow night at 7:00pm.
