SPARTANBURG, S.C. - East Tennessee State women's golf brought home its first tournament win since the 2024 Southern Conference team title. The Bucs led the way for the duration of the tournament, with Gambini leading in the top three from day one before pulling out in front for the individual title. Â
Freshman
Sophia Gambini collected her first collegiate tournament win, shooting even in rounds one and three and one over in the second for a total score of 217(+1). Gambini has shot one over or better in five of 12 rounds this fall.
Gambini and
Arisa Piyamanit each posted the tournament-best score of 72(E), while the rest of the team held scoring to 295(+7, Rd. 1), 298(+10, Rd. 2) and 295(+10, Rd. 3) for the best rounds of the fall slate.
