WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (Oct. 13, 2025) – The ETSU men's tennis team recently wrapped up play at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals. Overall, the Bucs won 16 singles matches and five more in doubles action at the Regionals.
 
Seven of the eight Buccaneers that competed this past week logged singles victories. Oscar Martinez had the best outing for the Blue and Gold. Including the qualifying draw late last week, Martinez went 5-1 and reached the quarterfinals of the main draw where he fell to Indiana's Sam Landau, 6-2, 6-2. With those results, Martinez is 12-1 this fall in singles play.
 
Martinez was also a part of ETSU's best doubles pairing in Indiana as he teamed with Martin Vergara to go 3-1 with wins over teams from Xavier, Belmont and Vanderbilt. The duos of Carlos Gonzales/James Sim and Peter Kalocsai/Arenui Luethi also picked up victories for the Bucs in doubles.
