ETSU finished conference play at 9-6 after throttling Tusculum to the tune of 103 points to open 2025, the best offensive output from the program since 2006.
The last time ETSU scored 100 points was in a 100-62 win over Mercer on Jan. 31, 2011. The last time the Bucs scored 103 or more points was on Nov. 21, 2006 in a 104-87 win over App State, and the last time ETSU scored exactly 103 points was on Jan. 10, 2000, in a 103-65 win over Georgia Southern.
The 48-point margin of victory (103-55) is the fourth highest in ETSU history, and the second highest of the Mock Brown era. ETSU hammered Virginia Lynchburg 95-26 for a 69 point margin of victory on Dec. 4, 2022, the largest in program history.
Four Bucs scored in double digits in the win. Sophomore guard
Brecken Snotherly tallied a team-high 19, 5th year guard
Courtney Moore scored 17, senior guard
Kendall Folley added 15 and redshirt junior
Paige Lyons posted a season-high 12.
UNCG enters at 9-5, second in the SoCon after nonconference play. The Spartans are 7-0 at Fleming Gymnasium, with wins over App State, USC Upstate, and the lone common opponent thus far with ETSU, UNC Asheville, who the Bucs beat on the road.
The Spartans are led by Jayde Gamble, who averages 13.3 points, 3.3 assists and 2.9 steals per game. Jaila Lee adds 11.1 points per game on 41.7% shooting from 3-point range, and Nya Smith scores 9.4 per contest. Khalis Cain grabs 6.4 rebounds per game, including 3.5 on the offensive glass.
ETSU is 23-22 all-time against UNCG after splitting the home and home with the Spartans in 2023-24. Each team won at home a year ago.
