The contest between Furman and ETSU will be played on the campus of North Greenville University due to renovations at Furman's home gym.

The Bucs dropped their eighth road game of the season at Chattanooga last Saturday, as the Bucs came all the way back from a third quarter deficit as large as 13 but never took the lead, and fell 48-46. The loss marked the first time the Buccaneers have lost a game when it held its opponent under 50 points (were 9-0 entering the matchup).

Senior guard Braylyn Milton led the Bucs with 21 points and eight rebounds, and junior forward Meghan Downing grabbed ten rebounds and added four blocks.

The Blue & Gold have run into bumps on the road, with sizable splits at and away from Brooks Gymnasium. Within the friendly confines of the home gym, the Buccaneers average 69.9 points per game en route to an 8-1 record at home, but that offense has largely not traveled, as ETSU scores just 50.9 points per game on the road, and has only won two true road games.

5th year guard Courtney Moore will look to continue her streak of seven consecutive games and nine of her last ten scoring in double-digits. The streak, which started before Christmas at FGCU, is already the longest of her career.

As a team, Furman boasts an up-tempo offense, averaging 69.9 points per game. Four Paladins score in double-digits, led by Tate Walters with 13.2 points per game. Kate Johnson scores 11.9, along with 7.1 rebounds, and Niveya Henley averages 11.7 per game. Sydney Ryan rounds out the leading scorers with 10.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

ETSU and Furman both beat Mercer and fell to UNCG, but saw different results against Samford and Western Carolina. The Bucs lost on the road to the Catamounts and the Paladins lost at Samford, but Furman beat WCU and ETSU beat Samford at home. Among nonconference common opponents, both squads beat UNC Asheville and fell to Campbell.

The Bucs trail the all-time series with the Paladins 26-47, and split the 2023-24 series, with each team getting a win at home. In the victory in Johnson City, Brecken Snotherly scored 11, Moore added ten, and Meghan Downing scored nine with nine rebounds. In the loss on the road, Downing scored eight with ten rebounds, and Moore scored 12.
