JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 21, 2025) – ETSU students, want to win $1,000?
You'll have your chance by attending the six remaining ETSU men's basketball home games and participating in our "Hoops for Groups" campaign.
Hoops for Groups is a fun and competitive way to boost school spirit and support our men's basketball team, while having the chance to earn a $1,000 reward for your student organization!
The steps to participate with all the information is located below.

Earn Points:
- 2 points for each student who checks in. Students can pick up their ticket in person by visiting the Carrier Center front desk, located on the Second Floor of the D.P. Culp Student Center. Students can also pick up their ticket the day of the game at Freedom Hall.
- 1 point for each non-student (family, friends, alumni) who purchases a single game ticket and scans the QR displayed when prompted. Guest tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the ETSU Ticket Office inside the Mini Dome, by calling 423-439-3878 or on gameday at Freedom Hall.

Compete for the Prize: The organization with the most points at the end of each game wins a
$1,000 prize to use for your group's events or activities!
Below are the remaining six home games:
- Wednesday, Jan. 22 vs. Western Carolina, 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Jan. 25 vs. Chattanooga, 4 p.m.
- Sunday, Feb. 2 vs. Furman, 2 p.m. (CBS Sports Network)
- Saturday, Feb. 8 vs. Samford, 4 p.m.
- Wednesday, Feb. 19 vs. UNCG, 7 p.m. (ESPN2 or ESPNU)
- Wednesday, Feb. 26 vs. Mercer, 7 p.m.
Important Rules & Information:
- Student Tickets: Students must pick up a physical student ticket at the Carrier Center or at Freedom Hall on gameday
- Non-Student Tickets: Family, friends, and alumni looking to support a student organization MUST PURCHASE A SINGLE GAME TICKET.
- Tickets can be purchased on gameday at Freedom Hall, by phone at the ETSU Athletics Ticket Office at (423) 439-3878 or online at ETSUTickets.com.
- Check-In Points: Attendance check-ins will occur at a random time during each game, so be sure to stay engaged and keep an eye out for when the check-in moment happens.
- Student Check-In:
- For a student's attendance to count, your Name, E#, ETSU email, and the student organization you are supporting must be filled out on the form scanning the QR Code which will be displayed near the student section inside Freedom Hall as well as on the videoboard during the game.
- Make sure to fill out the form when prompted to officially confirm your attendance and contribute points to your groups total.
- Non-Students: Those who purchased a ticket must scan the QR code on the video board when prompted and will be asked to fill out the form so that we will know who to give the points to.
