SALEM, Va. (Jan. 18, 2025) – The ETSU women's track and field team wrapped up competition at the Finn Pincus Invitational on Saturday inside Cregger Field House.
After having three Buccaneers win gold in Friday's opener, ETSU had three podium finishes on Saturday. Freshman
Micailah Cook won silver in the 400m with a time of 58.67,
Meg Lance – who won gold in the 600m on Friday – finished third in the 1000m with a mark of 3:07.11 and freshman Alexis Carter took third in the shot put with a mark of 12.46m.
Coming off a gold-medal effort in the high jump on Friday, freshman
Akera Molette finished fifth in the finals of the 60m hurdles with a time of 9:42, while Cook placed seventh in the finals of 60m after clocking in at 7.97.
In the mile, ETSU had three finish in the top 10 with freshman
Deena Ludtke and
Bonita Gray placing fourth and fifth, while
Ansley Archuleta placed eighth. Ludtke turned in a time of 5:22.34, Gray was right behind in 5:22:52 and Archuleta crossed the line in 5:27.03. Ludtke and Gray also went fourth and fifth in the 1000m with times of 3:07.91 and 3:08.14.
ETSU had four finish in the top-10 in the 800m with
Brianna Baker leading the charge. Baker finished fifth in 2:37.96, while
Hailey Lane (8th, 2:39.09),
Ashlynn Roy (9th, 2:39.57) and
Melina Summey (10th, 2:45.11) capped off the top-10 finishers for the Blue & Gold in the event.
In the field events, Baker and
Tya Blake put together fourth and fifth place showings in the long jump. Baker set a personal best with a leap of 5.22 and Blake recorded a mark of 5.12m.

ETSU returns to action next weekend when the Bucs head back to Virginia for the VMI Invitational on Jan. 24-25.
