ETSU begins tough SoCon road swing starting Wednesday night at Furman

GREENVILLE, S.C. (Jan. 14, 2025) – Winning back-to-back Southern Conference games, the ETSU men's basketball team gears up for a tough two-game road swing as the Buccaneers face Furman on Wednesday night. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. inside Bon Secours Wellness Arena.

  • John Buggs III is one of 41 Division I players to make at least 50 three-pointers this season … Buggs ranks 21st nationally in made threes (52) and 36th in three-pointers made per game (3.1)
  • Jaden Seymour scored his 1,000th career point and 1,000th point as a Buccaneer in the win over USC Upstate on Nov. 22 … Seymour became the 43rd 1,000-point scorer in program history and now is 24th in program history with 1,194 career points … Seymour needs four points to move past Kevin Tiggs (2007-09) for 23rd, 13 to move past T.J. Cromer for 22nd (2015-17) and 24 to pass Charlie Stuart (1974-77) for 21st … Overall, Seymour has 1,205 points with 11 of those coming during his freshman season at Wichita State.
  • With ETSU's six made threes on Saturday, the Bucs have made at least one three-pointer in 1,176 straight games – the third-longest streak in the country
  • ETSU was picked to finish third in the SoCon Preseason Coaches Poll … The Bucs picked up two first-place votes, while reigning champion Samford was pegged number one and Chattanooga was selected second
