ETSU fell in its SoCon opener at UNCG. A cold fourth quarter against the No. 5 defense in the nation sent the Bucs to 0-1 in conference play, as 5th year guard Courtney Moore was the only Buccaneer to score in double digits.

Sunday's contest will pit a contrast of styles, with ETSU's nationally ranked No. 30 scoring defense against Western Carolina's No. 51 scoring offense. AC Carter scores 14.4 points per game for the Catamounts, and Tyja Beans adds 12.8 points and 8.7 rebounds per night.

In WCU's conference opener, it fell at home to Chattanooga. Carter and Beans scored 17 and 12, along with 14 from Zanoria Cruz, but the Catamounts committed 22 turnovers, and Caia Elisaldez scored 21 to lead the Mocs to a 67-56 win.

The Buccaneers lead the all-time series with the Catamounts 59-24 and have won six straight in the series, including all four of the Mock Brown era.
