MACON, Ga. (Sept. 28, 2024) – Following a week layoff, the ETSU women's soccer team returns to the pitch as the Buccaneers host Mercer on Sunday afternoon at Summers-Taylor Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.

ABOUT THE BUCS
- ETSU is 2-4-1 overall and 1-0-1 in SoCon play
- The Bucs are coming off a 1-1 draw at UNCG last Sunday
- Kyra Ranvek scored the first goal of the match against the Spartans in the 35th minute, but after leading for over 54 minutes, UNCG tied the game with seven seconds remaining to force the draw
- ETSU opened SoCon play with a 6-0 win at The Citadel on Sept. 19

ABOUT MERCER
- Mercer enters the second weekend of SoCon play with an overall record of 6-3-2 and an 0-1-1 in conference
- Like the Bucs, the Bears haven't played in a week as Mercer fell 1-0 at Western Carolina on Sept. 22
- Mercer is 5-1-1 at home, but 1-2-1 away from Macon
- The Bears are led by Larkin Thomason as she leads the team with nine goals and two assists … The nine goals are tied for the seventh-most nationally
- In goal, Lindsay Bell has played all 990 minutes for the Bears as she has totaled 31 saves and notched four shutouts
- As a team, Mercer is outscoring its opponents 28-11 on the season

- Sunday marks the 26th all-time meeting in the series
- Mercer leads the series, 14-6-5
