DAVIDSON, N.C. (Aug. 28, 2024) – After completing a three-game home stand on Sunday, the ETSU women's soccer team now embarks on a three-game road swing, beginning Thursday night at Davidson. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Alumni Soccer Stadium.

ABOUT THE BUCS
- The Bucs dropped two of their three games during the home stand and sit at 1-3-0 on the season
- ETSU opened the stretch of three straight home games with a 1-0 win over Eastern Kentucky on Aug. 18, while falling to Tennessee in a hard-fought match 1-0 and ended the swing with a 3-1 setback to reigning CUSA champion Liberty last Sunday
- Grace Eatz and Reagan Fitzgerald have accounted for the two Buccaneer goals … Eatz netted the game-winning goal against EKU, while Fitzgerald scored her first goal of the campaign in the second half against the Flames
- Ashton Blair has registered 24 saves in the four matches this season … For her career, Blair has totaled 151 saves, placing her seventh all-time among Buccaneer goalkeepers … Blair, last year's Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year, needs 13 more saves to pass Erin Bilyeu for sixth all-time
- Blair also has posted 12 shutouts over her career and with one more clean sheet, the Knoxville native will tie the all-time program record held by Jasmine Elliott (2013-16)
ABOUT DAVIDSON
- Davidson is gearing up for its third game of the season as the Wildcats have split their first two matches to start the year
- This marks the third straight SoCon opponent for Davidson as the Wildcats opened the campaign with a 1-0 loss to VMI and followed that up with a 2-1 win over Furman in Greenville, S.C.
- Aleia Gisolfi-McCready and Dakota Lyons scored the goals in the win at Furman last Sunday … Lyons netted the game-winner in the 89th minute
- Davidson was down 1-0 heading into the 80th with Furman, but Gisolfi-McCready evened the score up in the 82nd and Lyons won it in the 89th
- Emily Smith has started both matches in goal with the Wildcats … Smith has posted two saves on the season and allowed two goals
SERIES HISTORY
- Thursday marks the 12th all-time meeting between ETSU and Davidson
- The Wildcats hold an 8-3-0 lead in the series, but the Bucs won 2-0 last season in Johnson City behind second-half goals from Molly Cason and Reagan Fitzgerald
- ETSU has won the last two meetings in the series, while the Bucs are searching for their first win at Davidson since Oct. 30, 2003
