INDIANAPOLIS (April 24, 2024) — The ETSU women's golf team is headed to Auburn for the NCAA Regionals.
During a live telecast on the Golf Channel Wednesday afternoon, the six Regional sites were unveiled and the Buccaneers will be making the trek to Alabama to play at the Auburn University Club.
The regional will be played May 6-8. Following the completion of play, the top five teams from each regional and low individual not on an advancing team qualify for the NCAA Championship, which will be held May 17-22 at Omni La costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif.
The Bucs qualified for the NCAA Regional after winning the Southern Conference Championship, giving ETSU the league's automatic bid to postseason play.
This marks ETSU's first NCAA Regional appearance since 2021 when the Bucs went to Raton Rouge, La., and the regional was canceled following unplayable course conditions due to rain. ETSU will be playing in its sixth NCAA Regional and its second at the Auburn University Club where the Bucs played the 2013 NCAA East Regional.
Joining the Bucs in the Auburn Regional include: South Carolina, Auburn, Oregon, Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, Houston, Tulsa, Miami (Fla.), Kennesaw State and Albany. ETSU is the No. 11 seed in the regional.
