CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (March 23, 2024) – The ETSU women's tennis team remained undefeated in Southern Conference play on Saturday as the Buccaneers knocked off Chattanooga by a score of 6-1. With Saturday's victory, ETSU improves to 10-6 overall and 5-0 in SoCon action.
For the fifth time in the last six matches, the Buccaneers started Saturday's tilt by securing the doubles point. The doubles scores went 6-3, 6-3, 6-2 all in favor of ETSU. ETSU is now 25-16 in doubles matches in 2024. The singles portion of the match went to ETSU as well as it won five of the six matches. Four of the Bucs' five wins came in two sets against the Mocs. Furthermore, with Saturday's win the Bucs have now won nine of the last 10 matches between these two in-state rivals.
