WOLCOTT, Colo. (Sept. 26, 2023) – The ETSU women's golf team completed second round play at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic on Tuesday from Red Sky Golf Club – Fazio Course.
The Bucs were led by Brianna Castaldi (Port Saint Lucie, Fla.) in round two as she posted a 1-over 73 en route to leapfrogging 31 spots up the leaderboard into a four-way tie for 32nd at 8-over-par 152.
Alex Crafton (Lake Mary, Fla.), who held the outright lead following Monday's first round, dropped into a tie for eighth after a round of 4-over 76. Two holes proved to be the difference maker as she posted a triple-bogey on the par-3, No. 17 and a double-bogey on the par-5, No. 2. Crafton is at even-par 144 through 36 holes.
As a team, ETSU sits in 11th-place at 34-over-par 610.
Pepperdine continues to hold the team lead at 3-under-par 573 following an even-par 288 on Tuesday. High Point is in second-place 17 shots back at 14-over-par 590.
New Mexico State's Alison Gastelum and Central Arkansas' Madison Holmes jumped into a tie for first at 3-under-par 141. The duo both posted a 2-under 70 in round two and jumped nine spots up the leaderboard.
Overall, seven golfers in the 89-person field shot below-par on Tuesday.
The final round is set for Wednesday morning with a shotgun start at 11:15 a.m. ET.
