ORANGEBURG, S.C. (Sept. 15, 2023) –?Non-conference play comes to a close for ETSU women's soccer Sunday afternoon when they take a trip to Orangeburg to visit South Carolina State. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Oliver C. Dawson Stadium.

ABOUT THE BUCS
- ETSU comes off a 0-0 draw against USC Upstate where the Bucs were held to their lowest shot total of the year (4) and outshot for just the second time this season.
- Goalkeepers Ashton Blair (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Rhyan Connolly (Canton, Ga.) have pitched two combined shutouts this season. Blair has a total of eight shutouts in her career, fifth-most in ETSU history.
- ETSU leads the SoCon and is 38th in the country in goals against average (0.571).
ABOUT SOUTH CAROLINA STATE
- The Bulldogs just played their tightest game of the year, a 2-0 loss at Furman on Thursday in Greenville.
- SCSU has the highest goals against average in the nation at 7.72. They are 324th out of 336 teams in goals for, with just two goals, both scored in a 7-2 loss to Winthrop on September 2.
- South Carolina State has not beaten a Division I opponent since October 6, 2019, a 2-1 win over Delaware State in Orangeburg.
SERIES HISTORY
- This is the eighth meeting between ETSU and South Carolina State. The Buccaneers have won all eight meetings.
- The Bucs have outscored the Bulldogs 56-2 in the all-time series and have shut them out six times.
- The last meeting was a 5-0 win for the Bucs at Summers-Taylor Stadium on September 30, 2019. Sarah Connolly scored a hat trick in the first 17 minutes to propel the Bucs to the victory.
