ABOUT THE BUCS
- ETSU came away with a 56-52 win on the road at Morehead State last Sunday. With Sunday's victory, the Buccaneers improved to 5-3 on the season.
- Leading the charge for the Bucs on Sunday was Nevaeh Brown. Brown, a Preseason All-SoCon selection, scored a season-high 19 points to go with five rebounds. The 19-point effort by Brown was just two points shy of matching her career-high (21 points vs. Western Carolina – Feb. 25, 2023).
- After playing six of its first eight games of the season away from Johnson City, the Buccaneers will play their next five games at home. ETSU, who will face Lees-McRae (Dec. 10), UNC Asheville (Dec. 14), Campbell (Dec. 17) and Gardner-Webb (Dec. 20) during this stretch, has not played this many consecutive games in Johnson City since the 2017-18 campaign when the team played six straight.
- ETSU is 1-1 at home so far this season. Kendall Folley has been the Bucs' leading scorer in those two games averaging 14.5 points per game. Additionally, ETSU has outscored opposing teams by 15 points (7.5 per game) in the second and third quarters so far during its home schedule.
- The Buccaneers hope this December will be as successful as last year's. ETSU went 7-1 in the final month of 2022 with wins over Vanderbilt (44-31), Virginia Lynchburg (95-26), Charleston Southern (65-45), UNC Asheville (64-52), Longwood (69-52), Mount St. Mary's (75-62) and Converse (82-35).
- Wednesday's game will be the third that ETSU has played against a Big South foe this season. Overall, the Buccaneers are 57-37 all-time against the current members of the Big South, including a 2-0 mark this season. Since Coach Mock began her tenure leading the Bucs, ETSU is undefeated against the Big South, 5-0.
ABOUT CHARLESTON SOUTHERN
