ABOUT THE BUCS
·       ETSU won for the fourth time in the last five games on Sunday with a dominant 4-1 victory over Wofford. The Bucs took a 2-0 lead in the first half off goals from Aliya Cooper and Kinsten Evans. The first half barrage marked just the second time ETSU has scored in the first half this season.
·       Reagan Fitzgerald scored her fifth goal of 2023 in the win over the Terriers, the most by a freshman at ETSU since Jenna Caudle scored 10 in 2011. Sinoxolo Cesane also scored her fifth goal of the year and is the Bucs' active career leader in goals (7).
·       Winger Ruby Teixeira collected her fifth assist of 2023 against Wofford. The redshirt freshman leads the team and is tied for fifth in the SoCon in assists.
·       Right back Taylor Limprevil was named SoCon Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday. Limprevil played all 90 minutes in a 1-0 win at The Citadel last Thursday and collected an assist in 66 minutes in the win over Wofford. She is the second Buccaneer to win Defensive Player of the Week this season, joining center back Madi Hook.
·       The Bucs are 5-0-2 at home this season, their most wins at Summers-Taylor Stadium since 2018.
·       ETSU sits tied for second in the SoCon standings with 13 points, level with Samford and two points back of first place Western Carolina. With games at Samford and at home against Western Carolina remaining, the Bucs control their own destiny for the SoCon title entering Thursday night.
