Rachel Ferguson

Rachel Ferguson joined the ETSU athletic department in the fall of 2025. Prior to arriving at ETSU, she spent three years at Houston Christian University (2022–2025), serving most recently as the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations. In this role, Ferguson managed departmental finances, including monthly reconciliations, income and expense reporting, and travel reimbursements, while also overseeing ticketing operations. She represented athletics in university business administrator meetings and helped coordinate all home athletic events, supporting facility upkeep and day-to-day operations across the department. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, Ferguson served on the HCU Spirit Board and coached the Huskies cheer team from 2023–2025.

Before her time at HCU, she served as the Assistant Director of Competitive Cheer at Rock Solid Elite in Maumelle, Arkansas (2021–2022), where she oversaw 200 athletes, managed social media and travel operations, and coached a junior level 2 team.

In 2018, Ferguson was named Assistant Sports Information Director and Game Day Assistant at LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas. She assisted with men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, and softball while compiling game stats, creating programs, maintaining the website, managing social media, broadcasting, and game day photography. Ferguson also coached at one of the top ten country clubs in the United States in Chevy Chase, Maryland, assisting with diving and pool management.

A native of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Ferguson was a four-time All-Conference springboard diver at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. In addition to her accomplishments in the pool, she was a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representative, two-year team captain, and four-time All-Academic Athlete. While completing her bachelor’s degree, she also interned with Reddie Athletics, where she oversaw game day photography, assisted with operations, and worked in the Disability Resource Center.

Ferguson earned her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management in 2018 and her Master of Science in Sports Administration in 2020. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Education in Global Sport Leadership at East Tennessee State University.
