John Moore was named Assistant Director of Sales and Promotions at East Tennessee State University in August 2025. He primarily focuses on generating revenue as a part of the ticketing staff, while working collaboratively with the marketing department to produce game scripts and oversee game day operations.
Prior to joining ETSUÂ full time, Moore served as the Ticket Office Graduate Assistant during the 2024-25 athletics season, where the Buccaneers saw immense revenue growth in both season, group, and single-game tickets for all revenue generating sports. That year, the Bucs set two football attendance records at Greene Stadium (11,040 vs. North Dakota State and 12,109 vs. Western Carolina) and back-to-back-to-back 5,000+ crowds at Freedom Hall.
In the spring of 2025 at ETSU, Moore assisted in setting a record for baseball flex passes sold through promotional efforts of Unicoi County Relief Day, Little League Day, and Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day.
Moore previously interned and worked for Bristol Motor Speedway, the Atlanta Braves, Davidson College, and Western Carolina University in either in marketing, game day operations, or ticketing.
A native of Huntersville, North Carolina, Moore graduated from Western Carolina University in 2024, where he was a double-major in Sport Management and Marketing.
