Dr. Samantha Lyon, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist providing mental health services to our student-athletes within the Athletic Department and the BucSports Medicine Clinic. She is a 2021 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Medicine in clinical psychology. She completed her doctoral internship at Cherokee Health Systems in Knoxville, TN with an emphasis in health psychology. 

Dr. Lyon joined BucSports in October 2022. Prior to this she completed her postdoctoral fellowship with ETSUHealth Internal Medicine. Dr. Lyon has a special interest in treating pain from a psychological perspective and assisting athletes in their return to play following injury. She is also trained in Primary Care Behavioral Health and is working on creating robust mental health programming to support all athletes and staff members housed within the Athletic Department.
