Libby Ligon, MD, is originally from Middle Tennessee and moved to Johnson City in 2017 to attend East Tennessee State University’s Quillen College of Medicine. Dr. Ligon enjoys spending time outdoors and says, “there is no better place to enjoy the outdoors than the beautiful Appalachian Highlands.” She was drawn to sports medicine after growing up playing sports and experiencing her own injuries. She values getting to know her patients and helping them return to the activities they love. Her philosophy is to treat every patient like family. As an ETSU Health clinician, Dr. Ligon also serves as a faculty member at ETSU’s Quillen College of Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
