Dr. Elizabeth Forbes is the Director for Student-Athlete Success, a position she has held since 2023. With a background in social work, Dr. Forbes began her journey with ETSU in August 2017 as a graduate assistant. Over the years, she has gained experience working with various teams, including the men's football, men's soccer, women's soccer, volleyball, women’s basketball, track and field, cross country, and triathlon. Her dedication to students led to her promotion to Academic Specialist, focusing on football, before advancing to the Assistant Director role in 2022.
In her current role, Dr. Forbes provides guidance and support to student-athletes across several teams, including men's football, men and women's soccer, and men and women’s cross country and track and field. Her commitment to student-athlete success is driven by her passion for fostering academic and athletic excellence.
Dr. Forbes holds a Doctorate in Global Sport Leadership and a Master's degree in Sport Management, both from East Tennessee State University. She also earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Forbes enjoys various activities, including video games, working out, and hiking. She values time spent with her family and cherishes moments with her pet, Cat Benatar.
