Caysey Colant joined the ETSU coaching staff in January 2026 as the program's new Director of Recruiting.
Colant, a graduate of Liberty, brings three years worth of experience in college football. Colant comes to Johnson City after spending last season as the Chief of Staff at Samford. In his role with the Bulldogs, Colant coordinated all team travel logistics, including flights, buses, hotels, meals, and on-site schedules. He also served as the NFL Pro Liaison, managing all communications and requests between the program and league personnel. Colant was also the primary liaison for academics for the Bulldogs and supported assistant coaches on staff by planning and executing all official and unofficial recruiting visits.
Before heading to Birmingham, Colant had an internship at Georgia. While in Athens, Colant organized and facilitated official visits for prospective student-athletes. He also assisted with the football operations staff in planning, coordinating, and executing multiple camps held on campus.
Colant has also held a pair of football operations roles in his career first at Louisburg College (April 2023-January 2024) and at Barton College (February 2024-July 2025). He also was Barton's wide receivers coach and at Louisburg he served as their quarterbacks coach in addition to his operations responsibilities.
