Biography

2010 Season: Took a medical redshirt to regain a year of eligibility.

High School: A four year letterwinner under head coach Tom Stephenson at Jamestown…Hughes was named  First-Team All-District, All-Region, and All-State team following her junior season…Was named First-Team All-District after her senior season…Tallied 45 kills in a match during her senior year which ranked first in the state of Virginia…Hughes finished her career with 220 aces, 1,001 kills, 288 digs, and 213 blocks including 138 solo blocks…Also earned a letter in indoor track during freshman year…Plays for the Coastal Volleyball Club under head coach David Albaugh.

Personal: Daughter of Ken and Mary Beth Hughes…born on August 5, 1992…plans on majoring in exercise science.
