Ben Carberry

Head women's golf coach Stefanie Shelton announced the addition of Ben Carberry to the 2025-26 staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2025 following his standout career as a member of the ETSU men's golf program.  

As an athlete at ETSU, Carberry played an instrumental role in four consecutive men's golf championships and NCAA Regional appearances.  

In the 2025-26 campaign, Carberry assisted Shelton and they led the Buccaneers to two tournament titles, four All-Conference selections and a program-record setting fall GPA.  ETSU captured both the team title and individual title at the Terrier Intercollegiate to seal the fall slate.  Sophia Gambini secured her first collegiate individual title with round scores of 72, 73 and 72 for a 54-hole score of one-over-par.  The team followed suit as Piyamanit and Hauk wrapped action in the top eight and the team title was claimed with a team score of 891(+27).  The second title of the season arrived at the Houston Lake Invitational when the Bucs posted a team score of 885(+21) with four individual in the top 20 for the team's best showing of the season.  The highest-placing individual was Gambini with a runner-up finish.  Arisa Piyamanit boasted the third top-two finish by an individual with her runner-up result at the Low Country Intercollegiate.  Both Gambini and Piymanit were selected to the All-SoCon Team and All-Freshman Team following their standout freshmen seasons as league-leaders.  In the fall of 2025, the team boasted a 3.91 GPA to elevate the educational standards and set a new program record. Â
