2018 (Sophomore): Made 22 appearances with 13 starts … Totaled four wins and two shutouts … Earned her first win of the season by tossing her first collegiate shutout in the 10-0, five-inning win over Colgate on Feb. 18 in Spartanburg, S.C. … Tossed a no-hitter with a season-high seven strikeouts in the 8-0, five-inning win over Jackson State on March 9 in Johnson City … Earned a big win against Western Carolina on May 5, allowing one run on five hits with three strikeouts in six innings.
2017 (Freshman): Named to the 2017 SoCon Honor Roll … Made 11 appearances with two starts in her rookie season … Made first collegiate appearance against Gardner-Webb on Feb. 10, while making her first collegiate start against Virginia on Feb. 18 … Finished 2-2 with a 2.75 ERA (11 ER/28.0 IP) with two saves on the season … Earned her first collegiate win against NC Central on Feb. 26 where she tossed four scoreless innings with six strikeouts … Secured her first collegiate save in the 3-2 win over Alabama A&M on Feb. 12 … Recorded three scoreless innings with three strikeouts against A&M … Picked up her other win against Chattanooga on April 15 and save in the second game of the doubleheader vs. Radford on March 17.
High School: During her junior season, Schmidt was named the team MVP, 2015 Scholar Athlete and to the 7A All-Region Team … Schmidt hit .329 and posted a 1.99 ERA with 79 strikeouts in 77 innings for the Blue Devils.
