• 2025 Preseason All-SoCon Second Team 

2025 Season (Junior) - In his lone season in an ETSU uniform Smoot played in 27 games (21 starts)...The Minnesota native hit .306 with three home runs and 21 RBI...Had four multi-hit outings in 2025...His best performance came at UNC Asheville on May 6 where he went 5-for-6 with four RBI and a pair of doubles...Hit home runs against Binghamton, Old Dominion and Radford...Drove in four runs in that matchup against Radford...Had a .994 fielding percentage with just one error behind the plate...Drove in multiple runs on five occasions in 2025...Was a Preseason All-SoCon Second Team selection prior to the season as a designated hitter. 

Prior to ETSU - Smoot joins ETSU after spending the last two seasons at Iowa Western Community College...In 2024, Smoot had a breakout campaign offensively hitting .366 with 17 home runs and 76 RBI in 54 games...Smoot also scored 62 runs, totaled 64 hits and 19 doubles in 2024...In his first season of college baseball, Smoot played in 31 games and hit .383 with five home runs and 26 RBI.
