2024 Season (RS-Freshman) - Royal played in 11 of ETSU's 12 games in 2024...The Norcross, Georgia native made his ETSU debut on August 31 at Appalachian State...Overall, Royal totaled 12 tackles and one pass breakup on the season...His top tackling performance came in the season finale at VMI, where he totaled five stops...His pass breakup, meanwhile, came against UVA Wise in early September. 

Prior to ETSU - Spent the 2023 season at Gardner-Webb, where he played in one game...Played his senior season at Norcross (Ga.) High School for Coach Keith Maloof...First team all-region for 7-7A in 2022...Totaled 56 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and two interceptions in 12 games in 2022 … Also broke up 16 passes and blocked a punt...Played two seasons at Lanier (Ga.) High School...Had 36 tackles and broke up eight passes in his junior season … Also had two interceptions and forced two fumbles.
