Prior to ETSU - Played at Bowdon High School ... Led the Red Devils to a Georgia 1A Division I state championship – program’s first state championship since 1992 ... Won three straight region titles ... Dual-threat quarterback and defensive back at Bowdon ... Rushed and threw for two touchdowns in the title game as Bowdon finished with a 14-1 record ... Had 86 rushing yards and was 4-of-6 for 79 yards passing, while recording three solo tackles and a pass break up in the state championship game ... Finished the season with 1,263 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns, while he threw for 1,312 yards and 13 touchdowns ... Named Region 7-A Offensive Player of the Year ... Had offers from UMass and Navy.
