2024 Season (Senior) - In his final season as a Buc, Gent was a key part of ETSU's lineup...As a senior, Gent hit .351 with six home runs and 63 RBI...Playing in 54 of the team's 56 games at second base, Gent also provided stellar production during SoCon play as he hit .356...Slugged a pair of home runs on April 13 at Samford...Ranked second on the team with 23 multi-hit games...Posted a 15-game hitting streak during the season to go along with a 34-game reached base streak...Gent also drove in multiple runs on 19 occasions in 2024...Led the Bucs in doubles (17) and triples (4)...Second in RBI (63)...Tied for the team-lead with seven sacrifice flies...Home runs came against Rider, Villanova, Samford (three), and VMI...Drove in a season-high five runs in a win over VMI on May 5.

2023 Season (Junior) - Appeared in 39 games with 38 starts, primarily at second base ... Batted .272 with 40 hits in 147 at-bats ... Finished with seven doubles and five home runs ... Scored 22 runs and produced 28 RBI ... Had 19 walks and just 18 strikeouts all season — the fewest among qualified starts with at least 150 plate appearances ... Had 12 multi-hit games ... Reached in 12 straight games to end the regular season ... Went 2-for-4 in his ETSU debut against Toledo, scoring two runs in a 15-2 win ... Had three-hit games against Marist, Western Carolina and at nationally-ranked Oklahoma State, going 3-for-5 in Stillwater ... Drove home three runs each in series opening wins over VMI and UNCG, helping ETSU win both series en route to a top four seed in the SoCon tournament ... Fielded .961 with 127 outs and 14 double plays turned — one more DP turned than he had in two years at the JUCO level. 

Prior to ETSU - Spent two seasons at nearby Walters State Community College ... Redshirted in 2020 before playing 121 games over two seasons in 2021 and 2022 ... Batted .326 with 56 hits for the 2021 season and upped that by batting .399 with 79 hits in the 2022 season ... Had 21 career homers, including 10 as a rookie and 11 as a sophomore ... Had 17 doubles his sophomore season ... Finished his career with 108 RBI and 115 runs scored ... Career slash line of .365/.444/.627 ... Fielded .991 as a freshman and .949 for his JUCO career ... Turned 13 double plays in the middle infield.
