Paul Potter

Paul Potter enters his first season on ETSU's coaching staff in 2024 as the Bucs' outside linebacker coach and video coordinator. Potter comes to ETSU after spending the past few seasons on Head Coach Tre Lamb's staff at Gardner-Webb.

While at Gardner-Webb, Potter was responsible for all video recording, cataloging, and analysis for the Runnin' Bulldogs. He also assisted with special teams and the GWU defense.

Prior to his time at Gardner-Webb, Potter spent one season as a Defensive Graduate Assistant and Safeties/Specialist coach at Division-II Chowan University. During his stint with the Hawks, Chowan went 7-3, including a victory over RV Tusculum to open the season. Potter helped coach Jude McAtamney to an All-CIAA selection, as McAtamney went a perfect 47-for-47 on extra points, and 6-for-10 on field goals. He also helped coach kick returner Imeek Watkins to an All-Conference honor, who recorded a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown against Virginia Union.

Potter graduated from Clemson University in 2020, earning a degree in Sport Management with a focus on Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management. Before entering the coaching field, Potter worked as a Sports Marketing Intern for Voltage Management in Los Angeles, California.Â
