Cam Haney is in his first season as a member of ETSU's coaching staff in 2024. Haney comes to the Bucs after spending the last three seasons at Murray State.
During his time with the Racers, Haney coached the team's cornerbacks in 2023, which also was his first season as a full-time coach. Haney spent the 2021 and 2022 seasons as a defensive graduate assistant for Murray State. Haney's defensive backs accounted for 14 interceptions and nearly 80 pass breakups since 2021.
As a player, Haney played collegiately at Utah State. He broke up 28 passes, two forced fumbles and 110 tackles in his collegiate career. In prep football, was a CIF All-State honor winner as a senior at Cathedral High School.
Haney is originally from Los Angeles, California. He graduated from Utah State in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in communications. Haney also earned his master's degree from Murray State in 2023.
