2024 Season (Freshman) - Hayes appeared in two games as a true freshman in 2024...Made his debut on November 16 vs. Furman...In his first collegiate game, Hayes completed three of five passes for 42 yards...Hayes would get the starting nod in the regular season finale at VMI on November 23...He became the first true freshman to start for the Bucs under center since 1993...In his first start, Hayes led the Bucs to a 16-9 win over the Keydets where he completed 15 of his 25 pass attempts for 119 yards...Hayes also ran for 15 yards on three attempts vs. VMI and punted twice for an average of 49.5 yards per kick. 

Prior to ETSU - Played for Clint Finch at Brentwood High School...Named 6-6A Player of the Year...Named first team 6-6A...Led Brentwood to the region championship...Threw for over 2,100 yards and 30 total touchdowns in his senior season...Sister Kai plays soccer at Baylor University.
