JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 4, 2026) - The CTCA No. 8 ranked East Tennessee State women's triathlon team started their season at the 2026 Buccaneer Collegiate Cup, which was hosted by the team on ETSU's campus.
 
The Buccaneer Collegiate Cup consisted of a 400yd swim, a 4.78 mile bike and a 1.55 mile run. The event counts towards a qualifying standard for the National Championship in November. 
 
Notables 

• Taylor Walker led the way for the Bucs and completed the event in 28:30.9 to land in eighth place.   

• Teammate Andie Psilopoulos was right behind in ninth with a mark of 28:48.98. 

• Four more members of the ETSU squad finished in the top 20. Olivia Halfpap led that group with a 13th-place showing (29:52.08), Rapha Lima was next in 14th (30:02.83), Mia Remorca followed in 17th (30:50.01) and Ninon Lapierre rounded out that group in 20th (31:15.64). 

• Emily Jenkins completed the Bucs' contingent with a 23rd-place finish in 32:22.14.

• The team as a whole placed third in the event. 

Taylor Walker was honored in a post-event senior ceremony as the squad's lone senior.
