JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - East Tennessee State University men's golf alumnus, former assistant coach, and Hall of Fame member Mike Hulbert will be inducted into the New York State Golf Association 2026 Hall of Fame Class this upcoming fall, the association announced. 
 
Hulbert had a standout playing career for the Buccaneers, earning All-American honors in 1979 and 1980. Hulbert was the 1980 Southern Conference Individual Champion and was an individual invitee to the 1979 and 1980 NCAA Championship. He was named to the 75th Anniversary Southern Conference Team and entered the ETSU Hall of Fame in 2002. 
 
The Elmira, New York native earned PGA Tour membership in 1985, going on to play 22 seasons of PGA Tour golf, competing in 592 events and picking up three wins. 
 
His professional win was the 1986 FedEx St. Jude Classic held at Colonial Country Club in Memphis, Tennessee, where he finished at 8-under-par. 
 
In 2002 and 2012, he served as a Ryder Cup Assistant Captain, providing assistance to Curtis Strange and Davis Love III, respectively. 
 
Hulbert served as a rules analyst for CBS' coverage of the PGA Tour and now works with ETSU Athletic Alumni Relations.
