JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (July 17, 2026) – East Tennessee State University Athletics will host Dueling Pianos, presented by Oak & Anchor, an elegant evening of live entertainment, dining and philanthropy benefiting Buccaneer student-athletes, on Saturday, Aug. 22, at the James and Nellie Brinkley Center.
The event will begin with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m., followed by dinner, live dueling pianos entertainment and a silent auction featuring premium items and exclusive experiences. The evening concludes at 11 p.m.
Tickets are available at ETSUTickets.com. Guests may purchase individual tickets or reserve tables for groups. Those wishing to sponsor a table should contact Erin Billingsby, Director of Development, at billingsbye@etsu.edu.
Attendees are encouraged to embrace the event's elegant 1960s theme with attire inspired by the polished style of the television series Mad Men.
Oak & Anchor will cater the evening, beginning with cocktail-hour hors d'oeuvres before a dinner featuring Parmesan garlic focaccia, garden salad, lamb lollipops, grouper risotto with citrus cream sauce, chicken Marsala, grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes. T3 Vodka will present the cocktail hour and specialty cocktails exclusive to the event will be available. The featured wine provider is Knoxville Beverage Company while Johnson City Brewing Company is the featured beer provider.
For those traveling to Johnson City, the Carnegie Hotel is offering a discounted room rate of $179 per night, plus tax, for the weekend of Aug. 22-23. Guests should reference the ETSU Athletics Fundraiser when making reservations by calling (423) 979-6400. The discounted rate is available through July 23.
