JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 3, 2026) – The ETSU women's tennis team battled back from an early deficit to knock off Samford by a score of 5-2 on Friday afternoon. Friday's victory improves ETSU's overall record to 13-5 on the season and the Bucs' conference record remains unblemished at 6-0.
Samford came out swinging in doubles to start Friday's contest. The Bulldogs secured the first point of the match thanks to 6-2 and 6-1 victories. The ETSU tandem of
Alessandra Caceres and
Mariangel Estrella did tally a 6-1 win for the Bucs.
Moving onto singles, the Bucs promptly tied the match and took the lead. Caceres and
Julia Millan got the ball rolling for the Bucs before victories from Estrella and
Ksenija Rage clinched the win for ETSU.
Audelie Lesauvage also picked up a singles win on Friday for the Bucs improving her record to 15-2 this spring.
