Bucs return to the win column with a 5-2 victory at Mercer

ETSU remains unbeaten in SoCon play with the win over the Bears

MACON, Ga. (March 26, 2026) – The ETSU women's tennis team snapped a three-match losing skid on Thursday afternoon with a 5-2 win on the road at Mercer. With Thursday's victory, the Buccaneers improve to 11-5 overall and remain unbeaten in Southern Conference (SoCon) play at 4-0.
 
ETSU started fast on Thursday winning the first three points of the match. The Blue and Gold earned the doubles point thanks to victories from the pairings of Niyati Kukreti/Audelie Lesauvage and Julia Millan/Ksenija Rage. Mariangel Estrella (6-0, 6-0) and Lesauvage (6-0, 6-4) quickly won their respective singles contests to give control of the match to the Bucs.
 
Kukreti would clinch the match for the Bucs with her 6-0, 2-6, 6-0 win in the No. 5 singles slot. Alessandra Caceres also tallied a win in singles (6-2, 7-6 (7-4) after ETSU already clinched the match on Thursday.

ETSU will remain on the road for its next match, which will be on Saturday at rival Chattanooga. First serve between the Bucs and Mocs is set for 10 a.m.
