COOKEVILLE, Tenn. (March 2, 2026) – Riding a nine-match winning streak, the ETSU men's tennis team will hit the road on Tuesday to take on Tennessee Tech. First serve between the Buccaneers and Golden Eagles is set for Noon eastern time.
After dropping their first three matches of the season to Tennessee (twice) and Wake Forest, the Bucs have been rolling with nine straight victories. ETSU picked up its most impressive win in its last time out as it knocked off No. 42 Charlotte, 4-3. The last time the Bucs won nine matches in a row was in 2024. If the Bucs can knock off the Golden Eagles, it'll be their longest winning streak since 2019 when they won 11 in a row.
Tennessee Tech enters Tuesday's clash with the Bucs with a 4-5 record. TTU has victories against Georgia state, Eastern Kentucky, Furman, and Lipscomb this spring with three of its five losses coming against power conference opponents.
Since 2005, the Bucs and Golden Eagles have met seven times. ETSU has won all seven of those matchups, including a 6-1 victory last year in Johnson City.
