FORT MYERS, Fla. (March 17, 2026) – The ETSU women's tennis team saw its nine-match winning streak come to an end on Tuesday at Florida Gulf Coast by a score of 4-3. Tuesday's loss moves ETSU's overall record to 10-3 on the season.
The Eagles jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by securing the doubles point. ETSU did pick up a 6-2 win from
Julia Millan and
Ksenija Rage in the No. 2 flight, but FGCU won the other two contests.
Moving onto singles, it looked like the Bucs would rally and collect their tenth straight win. Millan (6-3, 6-3),
Mariangel Estrella (6-4, 6-3), and
Audelie Lesauvage (6-2, 7-5) all won their respective matches to bring ETSU to match point. However, FGCU grinded out a trio of three-set victories to outlast the Bucs, 4-3.
