JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 23, 2026) – The ETSU men's tennis team collected its second consecutive win as it shut out Tusculum by a score of 7-0. Friday's win boosts ETSU's record to 2-3 this spring.
ETSU and Tusculum split the first two doubles matches before the Buccaneer duo of
Martin Vergara and
Kai Cowcher clinched the point for the Blue and Gold.
As the match progressed to singles, the Bucs won all six matches with five of the six being in two sets. Vergara's 7-5, 6-2 win in No. 1 singles sealed the victory for ETSU. ETSU has now won 10 consecutive home matches dating back to February 2024.
