KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The East Tennessee men's golf program wrapped their season-opening tournament at the Tennessee National Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.  Richard Saunders led the team at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, finishing 15th overall, in his collegiate debut.

The team finished seventh overall, just behind six Power Four programs and nationally recognized Charlotte.  In the three years the Bucs have appeared in the tournament, 2025 was the second strongest showing, falling just behind the fourth-place finish in 2023.  Saunders second-best finisher in the program's history at the tournament, falling second to Mats Ege (6th, 204, -6) in 2023.
