JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — Incoming East Tennessee State men's golf freshman Oli Blackadder has been selected to represent Great Britain & Ireland in the 2025 Jacques Léglise Trophy, as announced by The R&A on Monday.
Blackadder, a standout amateur from Scotland, is set to join ETSU this fall and adds to the program's strong tradition of international success. The Jacques Léglise Trophy is an annual boys' team match between Great Britain & Ireland and the Continent of Europe, featuring the top junior talent from across the region.
The 2025 Jacques Léglise Trophy will be played August 22-23 at Royal Golf Club of Belgium and is the under-18 equivalent of the St Andrews Trophy. Blackadder will be one of nine players representing GB&I in the two-day event.
Blackadder's selection adds to a banner summer for ETSU men's golf, which also saw rising sophomore
Gavin Tiernan have a great showing at The Amateur and
Yannick Malik, Richard Saunders, and
Kristian Bressum also see international success.
