Rival Chattanooga, reigning champion Wofford come to Freedom Hall in February

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Aug. 12, 2025) - In the SoCon, all roads lead to Asheville, and now all 10 teams know where they will be stopping along the way.

The Southern Conference announced the 2025-26 men's basketball conference schedule on Monday, including ETSU's 18 game slate with nine games set for Freedom Hall. Highlights of the home schedule include Chattanooga on February 11 and reigning SoCon tournament champions Wofford in the regular season finale on February 25.

The Bucs play three of their first four conference games at home. After opening on New Year's Eve at The Citadel, they host Mercer at Freedom Hall on January 3, VMI on January 7, and UNCG on January 10. They follow with a three game road swing to Western Carolina (Jan. 14), Samford (Jan. 17), and Chattanooga (Jan. 21). ETSU wraps January by closing out season series with The Citadel at home (Jan. 24) and the Bucs' only Thursday night game of the conference slate against Western Carolina (Jan. 29). They wrap up January with a trip to Wofford on the final day of the month.

Furman comes to Johnson City on February 4, then the Mocs arrive a week later. Samford visits town on Valentine's Day, and Wofford closes out the home schedule. The Bucs play four of their final seven games on the road, with trips to VMI (Feb. 7), Furman (Feb. 18), UNCG (Feb. 21), and the regular season finale at Mercer (Feb. 28).

The SoCon Men's Basketball Championship returns to Asheville once again in 2026, March 6-9 at Harrah's Cherokee Center.
